What is Tixr Waitlist?

Waitlist is a feature that allows you to reserve tickets for a sold out or on-demand event. No more refreshing the page or checking back constantly in search of the tickets you want. Simply place your order and Waitlist will take care of the rest!

How does Waitlist work?

You will be placed into a first-come, first-served waitlist for your reserved tickets. Your card will be pre-authorized, but not charged until tickets become available. Once your order has been automatically placed, your card will be charged and you will receive your purchase confirmation immediately. If your order cannot be fulfilled, you will never be charged— simple as that.

How do I join a Waitlist?

If tickets have a Waitlist option, you can place a Waitlist order by clicking the blue "+" icon and then clicking "Join Waitlist". To complete your Waitlist order you will need to sign up or log into your Tixr account and enter your payment information. You will also choose the number of days out from the event you would like your Waitlist order to expire if it has not yet been fulfilled. By agreeing to the Waitlist policy at checkout, you are agreeing to have your card automatically charged when tickets become available. Your card will not be charged unless your entire order can be fulfilled.

What happens once I join a Waitlist?

After joining a Waitlist, you’ll get an email confirmation from Tixr. If tickets become available, the card on file will be automatically charged the full purchase amount, and you will receive your purchase confirmation via email.

*Note- Waitlist orders are not guaranteed to be fulfilled. Inventory must become available and you must be next in line.

Why do I need to choose an expiration date at checkout?

It takes time to plan for an event, and we get that you might not want a ticket last minute. By selecting how many days before the event you would like to be removed from the Waitlist, we’ll know when you’d like your order to automatically expire. It’ll take you 2 days to make it to the event? Make sure you set your order to expire at least 2 days before it starts so you’re not stuck with tickets you can’t use!

Can I remove myself from a Waitlist before my order is fulfilled?

Yup! You can remove yourself at any time if your order has not yet been fulfilled. Simply log into your Tixr account, click on Waitlist, find the event and click "Remove me from Waitlist".

Can I cancel my order after it has been fulfilled?

Unfortunately not. Once your order has been fulfilled, orders cannot be canceled and the sale is final.

Can I reverse the cancellation of my removal from a Waitlist?

Once you have confirmed your cancellation, you will lose your spot on the Waitlist. You can always add yourself back to a Waitlist if it is still open, but keep in mind that orders are fulfilled on a first come, first served basis and each new order will be placed at the bottom of the Waitlist.

Why do I see a pending charge on my credit card?

Don't worry, it's temporary! After you enter a Waitlist, we will pre-authorize your card, which may place a brief hold. Once the card has been authorized, the hold will be lifted and the pending charge will disappear within 1-5 days. Your card won’t actually be charged until your order is fulfilled.

What happens if my card gets declined when my tickets become available?

Since other fans are waiting in line for tickets, your Waitlist order will unfortunately be canceled if your card is declined and tickets will go to the next person in line. Make sure you add a valid and current credit card to your Waitlist order!

How long will it take for my order to be fulfilled?

This all depends on your place on the Waitlist, how many tickets are in your order, and how many tickets become available. Pro tip: get on the Waitlist as early as possible!

How will my tickets be delivered once my order is fulfilled?

Ticket delivery methods vary by event and will be confirmed when placing your Waitlist order. Electronic tickets will be sent immediately with your purchase confirmation. Shipping and will call ticket information will be included in your purchase confirmation.

Can I change my order once I’ve joined a Waitlist?

Waitlist orders cannot be changed. You can cancel your Waitlist order and re-join with your new preferred ticket type or quantity, but be advised that if you leave the Waitlist you will lose your place in line.

Are there any extra fees for using Waitlist?

Nope! The price you see when you place your Waitlist order is the final price you will pay, if your order is fulfilled.

What if I am on a Waitlist for 2 tickets and only 1 becomes available? Will I still be charged?

You will be charged only if we are able to fulfill your entire order. If you are on a Waitlist for 2 tickets, your order will only be fulfilled if both tickets become available.

Is my credit card information safe?

Tixr servers do not store any credit card information. All payments are safely encrypted and processed by our payment processor.
