For thirteen years, we have been hosting the most prolific pickers and roots artists in our majestic mountain community.
WinterWonderGrass is a community, first and foremost. We are part music festival, part beer festival, part apres ski and part family reunion. The event boasts four stages, three of which are under huge heated tents, a kids’ zone, food trucks, a VIP area, coffee bar and more. In 2025 we launched a partnerhsip with The Coletrain Music Academy, offering lessons for kids and adults during the afternoons of WWG. Included in your ticket are two hours of free beer, wine, spirits, and other tastings from 2:00 - 4:00 pm daily, for those 21 and older.
WinterWonderGrass takes place from Friday, February 27th until Sunday March 1st from 2 - 10 pm daily. Free shows presented by WWG include a Thursday kick off celebration on February 26th from 1 - 5 pm at the base of Steamboat Resort, plus free live shows at the top of the mountain at Thunderhead Lodge on Saturday and Sunday, February 28th and March 1st (gondola or Ikon pass required). WWG hosts a late night series called "Grass After Dark" around town, on a seperate ticket.
Over the past few years, we planted a seed down the Green and Yampa Rivers, and Baja California Sur. We cherish the connection of music, mountains, rivers, the sea, and community, and we are inspiring positive changes in our family & fans’ lives. We take you from the mountain tops, down the river, and deep into Baja culture, as these sacred spaces of the natural world seem to love the music as much as we do!
When we come together with open hearts and minds, bringing our differences and unique opinions, we begin to dissolve the illusion of separation. We intend to create a platform for artists, attendees, our families, and the natural environment to unite – building a community.
