Formed by vocalist/electronic artist Melanie Foxfire and touring synthesist Scott Sunset, Solemn Shapes have performed more than 300 shows across the Midwest, South and East Coast.

Blending darkwave, industrial, EBM, experimental electronics and synth-pop, the duo's releases Animalism and Calling have charted across Bandcamp's Darkwave, Industrial and Electronic categories. In 2024, Solemn Shapes signed with Distortion Productions and are currently working on their forthcoming full-length album, Prolonged Exposure to Darkness.
