Vau de Vire and Radium Presents welcome you back beneath the canvas for an all-new season of The Soiled Dove Under the Tortona Big Top. Featuring the return of legendary singer, activist, and cultural icon Joan Baez alongside the cast of the Vau de Vire Society.

From the creators of The Edwardian Ball, New Bohemia NYE, Revive™ the Show, Lagunitas Beer Circus, and decades of the Bay Area’s most lavish immersive nightlife experiences comes a fresh new chapter of sin, supper, circus, and spectacle on the waterfront at Alameda Point.

Set within a magnificent 12,000 square foot Italian circus tent at Radium Runway, The Soiled Dove Under the Tortona Big Top transports guests into a decadent Gold Rush-era dream inspired by the notorious Barbary Coast of 1890s San Francisco. Beneath glowing lights and velvet shadows, audiences will encounter an unforgettable evening of immersive performance, daring theatricality, live music, lavish dining, and beautiful mischief at every turn.

Dinner guests will indulge in an inventive multi-course culinary experience while being serenaded by the original music of Sgt. Splendor and surrounded by the world-renowned performers of the Vau de Vire Society.

For more than six decades, Joan Baez has shaped American culture through music, activism, and fearless artistic expression. From Woodstock to the civil rights movement, her voice has become woven into history itself. This season, Joan Baez returns beneath the Tortona Big Top at Alameda Point for another unforgettable chapter of The Soiled Dove.

Throughout the evening, the line between audience and performer disappears entirely as aerialists soar overhead, eccentric characters roam the saloon floor, cocktails flow freely, and spectacle unfolds all around you beneath the glow of the Tortona Big Top.

The Soiled Dove Saloon awaits those thirsty for tantalizing libations and a little dangerous revelry. Presented in partnership with Radium Presents and Radium Runway, proceeds from bar sales directly support the nonprofit’s mission to cultivate ambitious waterfront arts and cultural experiences in Alameda.

Guests are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the evening with attire inspired by Victorian and Edwardian fashion, 49er outlaws, saloon glamour, corsetry, cabaret decadence, and Gold Rush-era finery, whether subtle or extravagant.

Doors for all DINNER GUESTS are at 7:30pm.

For all of our Dinner Guests, we recommend arrival between 7:15PM and 7:30PM.

Doors for all MAIN SHOW-ONLY Patrons are at 9:00pm.

For all Main Show-only Patrons, we recommend arrival between 8:45PM and 9:00PM.

What's the address of the event?

ADDRESS: The Tortona Big Top at Radium Runway is near 2151 Ferry Point, Alameda, CA 94501. The venue is located near the Alameda Waterfront Park. 

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the venue?

This is a 21+ event. Please bring a valid ID (driver's license, state ID, military ID or passport).

Does the bar take credit cards?

The bar takes credit/debit cards and contactless payments. No cash sales and there will NOT be an ATM onsite.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the performance?

Free parking is available at the Seaplane Lagoon Ferry Terminal lot. Limited ADA parking is available in the Ferry Terminal parking lot.

The Tortona Big Top at Radium Runway is located one block from the W. Atlantic & Orion stop of the AC Transit 96 bus line.

The venue is adjacent to the terminus of the Cross Alameda Trail at Seaplane Lagoon Promenade if you are walking or bicycling. There is bike parking in the area.

A good rideshare drop off spot is by the Alameda Waterfront Park.

Is there a dress code?

We highly suggest coming adorned in thematic attire! The time period for The Soiled Dove is turn of the 20th century San Francisco, during the California Gold Rush. The scene is the Barbary Coast, the infamous red-light district, a place of decadence, debauchery and drinking! Coat check will be available.

Is photography allowed?

Cell phone picture taking is allowed. No flash photography! No cameras with attachable lenses!

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to get in the door?

You can bring a printed ticket, or we recommend having the digital ticket on your cell phone for us to scan or opened in the Tixr app (available on the App Store and Google Play).

We're sorry, but all sales are final and there are no refunds or exchanges available for ticket purchases.
