A night of funky hip hop rock n' roll.

Legion of Groove is more than a new name on the Central Coast—it is a powerhouse ensemble comprised of talented, hardworking 805 artists. While the group officially formed for the 2025 New Times Music Awards, their immediate chemistry earned them the "Performance of the Night" award, igniting a momentum that hasn’t slowed since.

Fronted by the dynamic duo of rapper Gehrig Kniffen and DJ Tommy de Silva, the Legion’s roster reads like a "who’s who" of regional legends. The lineup features the rhythmic precision of drummer Gerald Purify (The Vibe Setters, Groove Collective), the soulful versatility on keys, vocals and bass of KB and David Escamilla (IMVA), and the melodic edge of guitarist/vocalist Ezra Henderson.

Together, they deliver a sophisticated fusion of Hip-Hop, R&B, Soul, Pop and Funk. Known for elite instrumentation and a visible on-stage camaraderie, Legion of Groove transforms every performance into a curated experience of homegrown talent and world-class vibes.

Based in San Luis Obispo, The Hummingbirds bring high-energy
funk, soul, and dance music to every stage. With a setlist built to
keep the room moving, the band moves easily from classic soul
and disco to modern pop, R&B, and crowd-favorite dance tracks.
