Ransomes Sports will be aiming to cap off a superb season by doing the double when they face Capel Plough in the final of the Parkers Pitches Suffolk Junior Cup at Portman Road.

They have gone the whole season unbeaten in the Championship of the Gateway 14 Suffolk & Ipswich League.

Their opponents at Portman Road Capel Plough will be appearing in their first-ever Junior Cup Final.

However, the Ploughmen, who also play in the SIL Championship, have previously played in a Senior Cup Final at Portman Road.

That was back in the 2009-10 season when they lost 2-0 to Team Bury, whose goalkeeper Nick Pope has since gone on to play for Newcastle United and England.
