When Joe Delia and Klyph Black team up on stage, it’s exciting.  This show will be a celebration of their collaboration as “Joe & Klyph’s Excellent Jam” for an album of mostly original songs—“Westerntime.”  Joe and Klyph, each on his own, is popular for versatile musicianship, evocative songwriting, and full-on stage performance. The songs are brewed with Klyph’s and Joe’s decades of rich musical seasoning.

Klyph Black has been soulfully singing and playing slide, lap steel, bass, acoustic, and electric guitar at the international level since the 80s with “Vendetta,”“Urgent,” Michael Monroe, and “The Zen Tricksters,” Klyph has worked with other artists, like Levon Helm, Bob Weir, Derek Trucks, Taj Mahal, Charles Neville, Albert Collins, “New Riders of the Purple Sage,” and more.  Recently, Black formed “Rumor Has It” and co-founded “Black and Sparrow,” which plays regionally.  Klyph’s songs have been featured on national television shows, including “Felicity” and “Alias”.  He currently tours with “Rumor Has it” and “The Englishtown Project.”

Joe Delia is a gold and platinum composer with decades on the international stage and on film and television as a blazing blues keyboardist.  He is best known as a film composer with 40+ feature films (including “King of New York,” “Ms. 45,” and  “Bad Lieutenant”).  Before his film career, Delia was a studio musician in NYC, writing, producing, and playing with many artists, including Pat Benatar, Stevie Wonder, Stanley Turrentine, Grace Slick, Phoebe Snow, and Dave Edmunds.  Delia has also partnered on albums and tours with Kim Larsen, David Johansen, Richard Belzer, and Max Weinberg.  He’s currently finishing a new film with Abel Ferrara starring Shia LaBeouf.

Joe and Klyph will be playing their songs from “Westerntime” and other albums.  The set list includes “Love is a Highway,” “Queen of the Mall,” and other new songs, as well as “Time to Go” and “Under the Montauk Moon,” which are classics of theirs and crowd favorites.

“Western Time” will be available this July from your favorite music streaming services.  “Love is a Highway,” the first single, is available as of May 5th.  Other singles, of various musical styles, will be released periodically all Summer.

Also playing on this launch will be local talents James Benard (Drums), Al Buonanno Bass), and Greg McMullen (Pedal Steel Guitar).
