Founded in 1992, Sabor Latino Dance Ensemble is Cornell University's longest-standing performing Latin Dance group on campus. Our mission is to educate Cornell University and the greater Ithaca community about Hispanic, Latine, and Caribbean culture through various dances from these cultures. This year's 32nd showcase, Somos NuevaYoL, is a tribute to the Latin communities that have shaped New York City for generations. Through dance, we highlight the beauty, resilience, and cultural pride found across the five boroughs. In a time where many voices are being challenged or overlooked right now, this showcase stands as a celebration of the rhythm, resilience, and cultural influence Latinos bring to the soul of New York City.
