CITIZENRY is the solo work of Canadian drummer Michael Wallace. Infused with teen-vandal spray paint energy and delivered as a bombastic experimental package, CITIZENRY showcases Wallace's raw and uninhabited energy. The project combines late '80s gothy cyberpunk with experimental '90s electro. CITIZENRY spans influences and dynamics that range from punchy dance tracks reminiscent of electro pioneers The Chemical Brothers and Prodigy, to a more modern approach influenced by the likes of Holy Fuck and Sextile. This work is a departure from Wallace's usual role behind the kit, where he provides the backbone for Preoccupations, Women and various other projects.
