Finnish black metal pioneers BEHERIT come to On Broadway at Mabuhay Gardens for a rare San Francisco appearance.

Formed in 1989 and led by Nuclear Holocausto Vengeance, BEHERIT emerged from Finland's early black metal underground with a sound that was raw, primitive, atmospheric and unmistakably their own. Landmark releases including The Oath of Black Blood and Drawing Down the Moon established the band's enduring place in extreme metal, while their scarce live appearances have made seeing BEHERIT onstage an event in itself.

Joining them is Oakland's Dispirit, led by Weakling's J. Gossard and moving through black metal, doom, death, drone, psychedelia and noise; Sacramento black/death metal force Abhorrency; and Troy, New York harsh industrial noise project Pain Appendix.
