Born inside the hallowed walls of Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, NY, the Midnight Ramble has preserved and furthered Levon Helm's legacy for nearly two decades, playing the iconic music of The Band, and Levon Helm.
The Helm Family Midnight Ramble crosses generational and musical lines, featuring an ever-evolving family of musicians. Amy Helm honors her father's penultimate vision for both Levon Helm Studios and the Midnight Ramble - to create a community for musicians to share their art, and "keep it going."
Husband and wife writing, production and performance duo, Morley and Chris Bruce create a unique blend of Global Americana. Their debut album, Bloom spring ‘24 is a rich tapestry of acoustic splendor featuring contributions by Toumani Diabaté, Meshell Ndegeocello, Jon Cowherd and more. They recently released Story Of The Sky by The Bruces & Friends a Children's/Family album centering our interdependence with Mother Earth & one another. Morley has released six albums and spearheaded the successful fundraiser, Borderless Lullabies that continues to be a source of revenue for KIND: Kids- In Need-Of- Defense. Morley uses music as a tool when working with survivors of human trafficking and war. Chris is a long time collaborator with Meshell Ndegeocello, My Brightest Diamond, Lizz Wright, and Chris Connelly. He has worked with many luminaries such as Craig Street, Joe Henry, Toshi Reagon, Paula Cole, Steve Jordan, and more. Most recently he produced Lizz Wright’s forthcoming ‘24 release, Shadow, and is a featured contributor on Meshell Ndegeocello’s 2023 release The Omnichord Real Book.
