Levon Helm Studios Presents: The Helm Family Midnight Ramble

with Special Guest Olivia Ellen Lloyd

The Helm Family Midnight Ramble is a musical tribute to the founding songbook of Rock and Roll. Born inside the hallowed walls of Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, NY, the Midnight Ramble has preserved and furthered Levon Helm's legacy for nearly two decades, playing the iconic music of The Band, and Levon Helm.

The Helm Family Midnight Ramble crosses generational and musical lines, featuring an ever-evolving family of musicians. Amy Helm honors her father's penultimate vision for both Levon Helm Studios and the Midnight Ramble - to create a community for musicians to share their art, and "keep it going."

Olivia Ellen Lloyd

‭Olivia Ellen Lloyd will try anything once. From flight attendant school in Dallas to producing theater in New‬ York and teaching in Guatemala, Lloyd sought adventure but struggled to find a greater sense of‬ purpose––until she found her way back to music. Channeling that restless spirit, she writes songs that‬ pay homage to her Appalachian roots while charting fresh territory. Her debut album,‬‭ Loose Cannon‬‭ , has‬ garnered over a million streams, while Olivia has been busy touring, winning songwriting contests (like‬ Kerrville New Folk 2023; Songwriter Serenade 2024 Finalist), and generally eating life down to the rind.‬

‭Heavily influenced by country, folk, and indie rock, Lloyd’s sound combines the traditional, rooted sounds‬ of her West Virginia upbringing with the fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants exhilaration of her current life. She is‬ inspired by the electric heartbeat of New York City, the peaceful quiet of her small hometown and the rich‬ moments of life on the road in between.‬

‭Lloyd’s sophomore album,‬‭ Do It Myself‬‭ , created in collaboration with producer Mike Robinson, known for‬ touring and recording with the likes of Zach Bryan, Sarah Jarosz, Iris DeMent, and Bella White, was‬ released March 21, 2025. So far, the record has brought her a Mountain Stage debut, her first-ever Paste‬ Live Session, and landed her in No Depression as their spotlight artist of the month.‬

‭“Do It Myself‬‭ is an examination of desire, a prayer‬‭ for strength, an imagining of a world where we‬ completely belong,” Llloyd says.

“In this collection of songs, I ask you to pay attention to yourself, to me,‬ to those passing you by in dark bars, strip clubs, at the park on a sunny day. I aimed to write songs that‬ spoke to the present moment as more and more our present moments are slipping away and our‬ attention is divided. Sit with me a moment.”

It’s an album that is at once a blueprint and a roadmap for both trusting ourselves and leaning on‬ community to find our way through.‬

“We may not be able to see the way forward in the big-picture, zoomed-out fashion,” Lloyd says.

“But if‬ we put one foot in front of the other, we may find the next thing — and the next thing, and the thing after‬‭ that.
