Youngest inaugural poet in U.S. history, Amanda Gorman uses her platform to raise awareness on a host of important issues. She will discuss her latest release, “Girls on the Rise,” a picture book celebrating the power of girls. The poem highlights how girls have shaped history and why they should march boldly into the future. She is an eloquent voice for the next generation, and her skillful use of poetry to motivate, inspire and enact social change is incredibly powerful.
