For over 45 years, The Women & Children’s Shelter of Barrie has been a sanctuary for women and children escaping abuse and human trafficking. As a low-barrier shelter, we meet every mother and child exactly where they are on their journey, surrounding them with unconditional wrap-around support. From our 24/7 crisis shelter to our long-term community programs, we provide the stability families need to take their very first steps toward independence.
