The Halifax Pride Festival is one of Canada’s largest and fastest-growing Pride celebrations, bringing thousands of people together in Halifax, Nova Scotia each summer for over a week of community events, performances, and celebrations of 2SLGBTQIA+ culture.

Held annually in Kjipuktuk / Halifax, the festival features 150+ events over 11 days, including live music, drag and performance showcases, community gatherings, film screenings, art events, nightlife, and the iconic Halifax Pride Parade. Events take place across the city, with a central festival site that includes a mainstage with free outdoor concerts, a community market, local food vendors, and spaces designed for connection, celebration, and activism.

Halifax Pride is rooted in community. Many events are free or low-cost, and the festival works with local organizations, artists, and community leaders to create programming that reflects the diversity of Atlantic Canada’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community. From youth programming and sober events to drag shows and large-scale concerts, the festival offers something for everyone.

The Halifax Pride Festival continues to grow each year as the organization prepares to host Canada Pride 2027, a national Pride celebration that will bring visitors from across the country to Halifax.
