The Guild Theatre and Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Present - Haley Heynderickx
Indie folk singer/songwriter Haley Heynderickx draws from a wide array of influences, citing her religious Filipino-American upbringing, the folk music of the 1960s and ’70s, jazz radio, and the idiosyncratic acoustic guitar styles of Leo Kottke and John Fahey. All of those ingredients find their way into her music, which pairs deft fingerpicking with lyrics that flirt with levity but hew toward introspection. Her first album I Need to Start a Garden saw release in 2018. Following years of heavy touring, Heynderickx has new music coming this year.

LéPonds is the solo project of Lisa Houdei, an experimental folk singer-songwriter based in Topanga Canyon, just north of Los Angeles. Her vocal approaches are haunting, angelic, and whimsical– with song styles akin to Vashti Bunyan and Norma Tanega. Her music is original, organic, and effortlessly beautiful. With four albums released, you will find many treasures– some, unexpected. She has opened for artists such as Jeff Tweedy, Natalie Prass, Black Belt Eagle Scout & has recently supported Haley Heynderickx on tour.
