Event Information

The 2027 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach returns to downtown Long Beach, California, April 16–18, 2027, bringing three days of world-class motorsports, entertainment and family activities to the streets of Southern California. North America’s premier street racing event, the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach transforms the Long Beach waterfront into a high-speed race circuit and festival featuring professional racing, some of the world’s top drivers, concerts, interactive displays, food and entertainment. The race circuit is located on the downtown streets of Long Beach, approximately 25 miles south of downtown Los Angeles.

World-Class Racing on the Streets of Long Beach

The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach is known for bringing elite professional motorsports directly to the city streets. Race cars compete just feet from spectators on the iconic downtown street circuit, which winds through the Long Beach waterfront along streets including Shoreline Drive, Aquarium Way and Pine Avenue.

The weekend is headlined by the high-speed, wheel-to-wheel racing that has made Long Beach one of the most recognizable motorsports destinations in the United States. Throughout three action-packed days, fans can experience practice sessions, qualifying and races while getting remarkably close to the cars, drivers and teams. The 2027 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach race schedule includes the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Formula Drift Super Drift Challenge, Porsche Carrera Cup and Robby Gordon's Stadium Super Trucks, with one more race to be announced.

More Than a Race – A Southern California Motorsports Festival

The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach combines professional racing with the atmosphere of a major outdoor festival. Beyond the action on the track, race weekend traditionally includes live entertainment, concerts, driver appearances, interactive exhibits, automotive displays, food and beverage options and activities for fans of all ages.

The event’s AAA Travel Lifestyle Expo is located within the race circuit and has historically featured more than 100 displays spanning approximately 270,000 square feet, showcasing automotive products, technology, recreation, travel, entertainment and other consumer brands. Admission to the Expo is included for race ticket holders.

From longtime racing fans to families looking for a memorable Southern California weekend, the Acura Grand Prix offers multiple ways to experience the event, from grandstand seats overlooking the racing action to paddock access, premium hospitality and trackside experiences.

An Iconic Downtown Long Beach Waterfront Venue

Few major motorsports events offer a setting like the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. Instead of taking place at a permanent racetrack, the event is staged on the streets surrounding the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center and the downtown waterfront, putting race fans within walking distance of hotels, restaurants, attractions and nightlife.

The circuit’s downtown location also makes the event accessible throughout Southern California. Fans can reach Long Beach by car or use transportation options including the Metro A Line, Long Beach Transit, Metrolink and rideshare services. The official rideshare drop-off location is on First Street between Elm Avenue and Long Beach Boulevard.

The combination of oceanfront scenery, palm trees, downtown architecture and racing at street level has helped make the Grand Prix a signature annual sporting event in Long Beach and one of Southern California’s most distinctive live sports experiences.
