Pianist Eldred Marshall brings extraordinary virtuosity, intellectual depth, and a remarkable command of the piano repertoire to the Greenville stage. A graduate of Yale University, Marshall earned three master’s degrees from Southern Methodist University and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from the University of North Texas. His career has taken him across the United States and throughout Europe and Asia, both as a pianist and conductor, and his ambitious recital projects have included performing the complete cycle of Beethoven’s 32 piano sonatas from memory, as well as Bach’s Goldberg Variations and Beethoven’s monumental Diabelli Variations. Praised by the Press Enterprise for his “dazzling technique,” Marshall offers Greenville audiences the opportunity to experience a pianist of remarkable range and musicianship in the intimacy of a solo recital.
