Get ready, Alton! The F1 Powerboat Championship is coming back to Riverfront Park for the 2nd Annual Alton Midwest Nationals Powerboat Championships! This event is going to be epic, with fast boats racing on the Mississippi River and tons of fun activities for everyone to enjoy. Alton has a long history of powerboat racing, dating all the way back to 1894.

 

Now, on July 18-20, 2025, you can be a part of the action and witness some of the best powerboat racers in North America compete. There will be vendor displays, inexpensive general admission viewing areas with bleacher seating, a VIP Experience, music, food, and more.

 

The excitement kicks off on Thursday with teams setting up their pit areas, followed by testing on Friday at 2:00pm. Don't miss the Free Kickoff Meet and Greet Street Party on Friday night, where you can meet the drivers and see their awesome boats up close. Saturday and Sunday will be filled with thrilling races that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Yes, all days may be viewed by boat from outside the marked safety zone. No wake restrictions must be followed.

Is this a free event?
No, general admission cost for persons 4 years and older is $25.00 plus fees for the weekend or $15.00 plus fees per day. Includes available bleacher seating on a first-come, first-served basis, and free music after Saturday’s racing action. Kids 3 and under are free.

How much are the VIP Tickets?
$200.00 for the weekend, $125.00 per day. Both include VIP Parking.
