LET’S DO THE TIME WARP AGAIN!

The Rocky Horror Picture Show returns to the historic Dothan Opera House on Thursday, October 29!

After an incredible night last year, we’re doing it again—and with our second screening, we’re officially calling it a tradition. Rocky Horror is now an annual event at the Dothan Opera House!

This isn’t your normal night at the movies. Dress up. Sing along. Shout the callbacks. Do the Time Warp. And yes—bring your props!

Audience participation is part of what has made The Rocky Horror Picture Show a cult phenomenon for generations, and we want you to be part of it. We just ask that you help us protect our historic Opera House by keeping your props venue-safe.

BRING IT:
Newspapers • Rubber gloves • Party hats • Noisemakers • Bells • Playing cards • Glow sticks • Cell phone lights • Other clean, dry, venue-safe props

THE ROCKY HORROR REMIX — LEAVE THESE AT HOME:

🍚 Rice → Use paper playing cards or another easy-to-pick-up paper prop instead.
Rice gets into seats, carpet and every little corner of a historic theater.

💦 Water pistols/squirt guns → Use a newspaper over your head and pretend you're caught in the storm.
We love audience participation. Our floors, seats and electronics do not love water.

🔥 Candles/lighters/open flames → Use your cell phone flashlight or a glow stick.
When there's a light...we promise your phone works just fine.

🍞 Real toast → Bring a lightweight cardboard or paper "toast" cutout.
Same joke. No crumbs.

🌭 Hot dogs, prunes or other food props → Use paper or cardboard versions.
Nothing edible should be flying through the Opera House.

✨ Glitter or loose confetti → Use playing cards or another large, easy-to-clean-up paper prop.
If you've ever tried to completely remove glitter from a building, you already understand this rule.

🧻 Full rolls of toilet paper → Leave them home.
We're going to let "Great Scott!" survive without covering the Opera House in toilet paper.

The simple rule: nothing wet, sticky, staining, burning, tiny, messy or likely to damage the building. And please never throw anything at the screen.

Whether you're a longtime Rocky Horror veteran or this is your very first strange journey, come ready to participate.

Costumes are encouraged. Audience participation is encouraged. Venue-safe props are encouraged.
