Developed over ten years of creation and collaboration, Nimbus Dance presents ANIMA, Samuel Pott's 3-part work that confronts our most primal and precarious bond: humankind's relationship with the natural world. By turns achingly evocative and visually astounding, ANIMA offers audiences an immersive, visceral experience, reflecting our disorientation and estrangement from nature, and our place within it.

Created in close collaboration with acclaimed composer Qasim Naqvi, ANIMA features immersive projections by internationally renowned artists Laia Cabrera and Isabelle Duverger, and sets by Guggenheim Fellow, Nicola López.

A virtuosic chamber ensemble of musicians from the Bar Harbor Music Festival perform live at the historic 1932 Criterion Theatre.

“(ANIMA is) Nimbus in the raw: pure, sinewy, expertly executed modern dance”
