About Diffrent:
The German UKG prodigy Diffrent has quickly become one of the most exciting
new names in the global club scene. After storming onto the circuit with his debut
single ‘Live And Direct’, he immediately landed in the crates of some of the most
influential selectors around, including Interplanetary Criminal, Malugi, Marlon
Hoffstadt, Sarah Story, Chloé Caillet, Dr Dubplate, Dom Dolla and more, making
waves with his unique and energetic take on the legendary UK sound, infused with
his own modern, groovy twist.
Self taught as a producer from a young age, the Southern German native, now
based between Heidelberg and Berlin, blends his love for Jungle, UKG, Breaks and
Bass Music with the influence of Germany’s vibrant electronic music scene,
crafting his own signature sound.
Early 2024 saw Diffrent make a major statement with ‘A Little Closer’, his highly
anticipated debut on Marlon Hoffstadt and Malugi’s acclaimed imprint Club Heart
Broken. The track quickly became an absolute viral future classic, gaining support
from UKG heavyweights such as Sammy Virji, Oppidan and Notion, while also
breaking genre boundaries as a firm favourite of respected radio hosts and some
of the most influential selectors around the world.
Since then, Diffrent’s rise has only accelerated. With standout releases including
‘Piece Of My Soul’ on TSZR, ‘I Don’t Want U’ with Silva Bumpa, ‘Back To Me’ with
ELOQ on ATW, plus further high profile cuts and club weapons across key labels in
the scene, he has continued to push his sound into bigger rooms, festival stages
and radio playlists, without losing the raw energy that made him stand out in the
first place.
His Boiler Room set marked another defining moment, showcasing the full force
of Diffrent’s world to a global audience and further cementing his reputation as
one of the most exciting artists connecting UKG, breaks, bass driven club music
and high energy rave sounds.
Now, with his Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1, Diffrent steps into a new chapter,
joining one of electronic music’s most iconic platforms and underlining his
position as a true artist to watch on an international level.
With an ever growing touring schedule, major releases on the horizon and a sound
that continues to travel far beyond genre boundaries, Diffrent is no longer just one
of the most promising new names in the scene. He is becoming one of its defining
new voices.
