The Working for More Health Equity (WFMHE) group is an initiative that is striving to ensure that every Canadian, regardless of sex, gender, income, race or other socio demographic characteristic has an opportunity to reach optimal health. The newly formed group evolved from the Women for Men's Health (WFMH) Initiative that was started in 2016. WFMH raised more than $2.1 million dollars to help fund a series of projects in conjunction with the Prostate Cancer Center in Calgary - including funding of a Men's Health Clinic in 2018 and culminating in the opening of the Jun Kawakami Legacy Prehabilitation Clinic in 2024.

The evolution to WFMHE seems natural - widening the group's mandate to include all members of our community that need help in reaching health and wellness goals.
