About Stand Up For Recovery:
Stand Up For Recovery returns for 2026 with an unforgettable night of music and laughter in celebration of healing, resilience, and community. Hosted by 20-year comedy veteran Mark Smith, this inspiring showcase brings together talented comedians and musicians from all walks of life to highlight the joy and connection found in recovery.
The evening features headliner Simon King, described as “one of the greatest comedians of his generation,” with credits including HBO, Just For Laughs, CBC, CTV, Comedy Central, and more. Known for his edgy, intelligent, high-energy style, Simon has earned praise from comedy legends including Doug Stanhope, Robin Williams, and Rory Scovel.
Also featuring special guests Kate Rice, Charlene Rose, Jessica Joelle Pigeau, music by Orange Whip, and lyricist KeHill.
Stand Up For Recovery is a community-driven comedy series that regularly fills rooms across BC, supporting fun in recovery and inviting local recovery home clients to experience what life can be like on the other side of addiction. Complimentary tickets are available for local recovery home clients.
