BORD’ELLE DOES 54
A Halloween Weekend Homage to Studio 54
For three nights this Halloween, we’re going back to a time when getting in was half the fun and what happened after that was nobody else’s business.
Welcome to 54.
In late-’70s New York, Studio 54 became the most infamous nightclub in the world. Andy Warhol was there. Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Cher, Dolly Parton, Elton John, Elizabeth Taylor, John Travolta, Jack Nicholson, Mick Jagger. Celebrities, artists, fashion people. The beautiful and the wonderfully strange all found themselves under the same lights.
And yes, even that Charlie Murphy and Rick James story happened there.
The door was notoriously difficult. The parties were excessive. And once you made it past the velvet rope, pretty much anything could happen.
Sounds like our kind of Halloween.
From October 29 through 31, Bord’Elle pays homage to the glamour, freedom and beautiful chaos of Studio 54 with three nights of disco, champagne, performances and a few surprises best experienced in person.
Consider this your invitation to misbehave.
Come dressed for the occasion.
Sequins. Satin. Fur. Platforms. Gold. Glamour. More is more.
Dance with somebody you don’t know. Stay later than you planned. Make a story worth telling the next morning.
Party like people did before every moment was documented. Before every night lived online. When what happened inside the club stayed with the people who were there.
Thursday, October 29 Friday, October 30 Saturday, October 31
