SAME AS IT EVER WAS - A TRIBUTE TO TALKING HEADS:

This 7-piece outfit of Knoxville musicians came together in the Summer of 2004 out of their mutual love and respect for the music of the Talking Heads.. Over the years the band has performed extensively, and now nearly have the entire Talking Heads catalog at their fingertips; They bring the excitement and energy of everything from ’77 to Naked, and all the B-sides in between. SAIEW aims to maintain the integrity of the Talking Heads’ groundbreaking music, while also bringing their own panache and energy to the game, allowing space to stretch and bend these arrangements in the moment. Whether the music of the Talking Heads moves your mind, your body, or both simultaneously, it’s going to be a party any way you slice it.

 

SCHEDULE:

5:00 - 5:30 pm – Doors
5:30 - 6:45 pm – Same As It Ever Was Set 1
7:00 - 7:15 pm – Break
7:15 - 8:15 pm - Same As It Ever Was Set 2

10:00 PM- Curfew

    Our concert policies are:

    PERMITTED

    • Chairs 
      •      - Must be a single-seat lawn chair, no higher than 9” from the ground, with no attachments. Examples of prohibited lawn chairs (not  all inclusive):
        •           - Canopy
        •           - Footrest
        •           - Lounge
        •           - Swinging chairs
        •           - Tri-fold
      •      - If there is a reserved seating section, chairs are only allowed on the lawn
    •      - Small blankets or beach towels, no larger than 3’x5’
    •  
    •      - One (1) clear, factory-sealed plastic water bottle per person
      •           - Water only (no other beverage type).
      •           - No other cups or bottles are allowed.

    BAG POLICY

    •      - Small purses no larger than 6” x 9”
    •      - Any other bag must be clear and must not exceed 12” x 6” x 12” 

    PROHIBITED

    •      - Weapons of any kind (including guns, knives, chains, spiked jewelry, pepper spray, etc)
    •      - Explosives / fireworks
    •      - Possession or use of marijuana or illegal drugs 
    •      - Smoking/Vaping* 
    •      - THC Products
    •      - Outside food and beverage
      •           - Exception:  If a medical condition is present, a one-gallon sized clear bag of food is permitted.
      •           - Exception: one (1) clear, sealed or empty, plastic water bottle per person (may not be frozen)
      •      - Unauthorized professional audio/video equipment
      •      - Animals
      •           - Exception: Service animals   
      •      - Glass objects of any kind     
      •      - Aluminum cans
      •      - Aerosol Cans (including bug spray and sunscreen)
      •      - Umbrellas of any kind
      •      - Tents / Sunshades
      •      - Wagons and Strollers
      •      - Large blankets or tarps (must not exceed 3’x5'
      •      - Selfie Stick
      •      - Laser Pointers
      •      - Drones
      •      - Hula Hoops
      •      - Tablets (iPads, Kindles, etc.)
      •      - Bullhorns and noisemakers
      •      - Sporting equipment such as balls, frisbees, rollerblades, skateboards, bicycles, scooters, etc.
      •      - Coolers
      •      - Fans

    Prohibited items that are discovered during security inspections at venue entrances must be either returned to the owner's vehicle or discarded. Unlawful items that are discovered during security inspections are subject to confiscation, and the person in possession of those items may be denied entrance into the venue and is subject to arrest. Any prohibited item discovered inside the venue is subject to confiscation.

    *The AMP is a smoke-free venue.  Smoking/vaping is only permitted in designated area outside the venue.

    VENUE MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PROHIBIT OTHER ITEMS THAT POSE A SAFETY HAZARD OR DIMINISH THE ENJOYMENT OF THE EVENT BY OTHER GUESTS.
