Emerging in 2022 from Kingston,New York United States, King in yellow blends rock, alternative rock, punk rock, post rock, garage rock, grunge, experimental and noise into a genre-defying sound. From the crumbling industrial edges of a dying industrial city King In Yellow emerges like a fever dream in monochrome — a rock n roll exorcism wrapped in feedback and echo. Formed by long-time collaborators Kyle McDonough and Nick Vining, the band roars with discontent, nostalgia, and defiance, channeling their collective unrest into a sound that claws its way through shoegaze haze, noise rock distortion, and new wave gloom.
