Tommy Conwell is an American guitarist and songwriter best known as the frontman for Tommy Conwell and The Young Rumblers. The band consists of Tommy Conwell, Chris Day, Paul Slivka, Rob Miller, and Jim Hannum. Tommy Conwell and the Young Rumblers broke onto the Philadelphia music scene in 1984 after performing at JC Dobbs at 3rd and South. In 1988, "I'm Not Your Man." was the band's first number 1 US rock hit and peaked at 74 on the Billboard Hot 100. The band quickly became known for their raw, high-energy, and transcendent performances. After releasing their independent album called "Walking on the Water", they were signed to Columbia Record. Under Columbia Records, they released "Rumble" and "Guitar Trouble". The band has graced the stage at the American Music Awards, Late Night with David Letterman, and the Arsenio Hall Show, and have been featured in Rolling Stone magazine. The best part? The band still performs together after 30+ years of their first debut, proving that the 80s are not only back, but they are here to stay!
