The Wrecks
Alternative pop band The Wrecks will perform a free show at The Amp on Sept. 8 at 6 p.m. The group is comprised of Nick Anderson (lead singer), Aaron Kelley (bass), Billy Nally (drummer) and Nick Schmidt (guitar). Hailing from rural Wellsville, New York, Anderson built the group from scratch. In search of like-minded souls who loved the punk and alternative sounds he preferred, Anderson turned to the internet. He recruited Kelley, Nally and Schmidt to road-test a new band: The Wrecks. The band’s top five tracks on Spotify have been listened to more than 80 million times, and their first single, “Favorite Liar,” was a Top 40 Alternative Radio hit. Their most recent single, “Sonder,” finds The Wrecks’ music evolving sonically and lyrically while keeping close to their alternative-pop roots.
