Over the past four decades, Rick Springfield has worn many hats as an entertainer and performer. The creator of some of the finest power-pop of the ’80s, a Grammy winning singer, songwriter, and musician who has sold 25 million albums and scored 17 U.S. Top 40 hits, including “Jessie’s Girl,” “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” “An Affair of the Heart,” "I've Done Everything for You,” “Love Somebody,” and “Human Touch.” He’s an accomplished actor who has starred opposite Meryl Streep in the feature film “Ricki and the Flash,” gave a chameleonic performance as the creepy Dr. Irving Pitlor in HBO’s prestige drama “True Detective,” earned great reviews for his portrayal of Lucifer on the CW hit “Supernatural” and most recently played the insane Pastor Charles on FX’s worldwide hit series “American Horror Story.” An author as well, both his candid 2010 memoir Late, Late at Night (which Rolling Stone named one of the 25 greatest rock memoirs of all time) and his 2014 comedic novel Magnificent Vibration earned rave reviews and spots on the New York Times Best Sellers’ list. In 2014, Springfield was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, located around the corner from the first apartment he lived in when he first arrived in the U.S. from Australia in 1971. Springfield’s Sirius-XM radio show, Working Class DJ, is a huge hit and airs weekly on 80s on 8. His new album “Automatic” is out now. The legendary Rhode Island multi-platinum rock'n'roll group JOHN CAFFERTY & THE BEAVER BROWN BAND began their career in 1973 and achieved mainstream success in the 1980s with the "Eddie & The Cruisers - Motion Picture Soundtrack". The hit single “ON THE DARK SIDE" held the “#1” position on the Billboard Rock charts and the MTV video charts for five consecutive weeks. The album sold over 3 million copies and was certified triple Platinum by the RIAA.
The title track from the group's 1985 follow-up album “TOUGH ALL OVER” became their second “#1” single on the Billboard Rock charts and the song “C-I-T-Y”
reached the Billboard Top 20. John Cafferty's solo track “HEARTS ON FIRE" was featured in Sylvester Stallone’s film "ROCKY IV” and he received his second double Platinum two million selling soundtrack award. Over the years John has placed 35 songs in major motion pictures.
Today John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band continue to tour and bring their exciting live shows to fans around the world. In 2012 they were inducted into the Rhode Island Music Hall Of Fame. 2022 marked the release of JOHN CAFFERTY & THE BEAVER BROWN BAND'S GREATEST HITS on Iconoclassic Records. A comprehensive collection of all “original recordings” from their hit albums and movie soundtracks. In the Spring of 2025 in celebration of their 50+ years together JOHN CAFFERTY & THE BEAVER BROWN BAND released "SOUND OF WAVES" a long awaited and critcally acclaimed album of brand new songs. The pre-released single “DAY IN THE SUN” has received 5 star reviews and is climbing the national classic rock radio and streaming charts. And following in the band's decades long movie soundtrack legacy it is featured in the 2024 Peter Farrelly film “Ricky Stanicky” starring Zac Efron and John Cena. In 2026 SONY MUSIC released a digital version of JCBBB's GREATEST HITS available on all major streaming platforms.
