About the Charlotte Concert Band

The Charlotte Concert Band (CCB) is a vibrant, volunteer community band of instrumental musicians from across the Charlotte region. Their mission is to be one of Charlotte’s leading community instrumental ensembles, enriching the city’s culture and providing creative outlets for musicians from all walks of life.

The CCB is a non-profit 501c3 organization and all of their funding comes primarily from donations and ticket sales. Since the band's formation in 1966, CCB members have developed friendships that last a lifetime. Some of their members have played together for more than 40 years and others moved to the greater Charlotte region just recently.

Band personnel includes musicians from across the greater Charlotte region. Vocations span the spectrum from active music educators, retired college professors, health care professionals, nuclear engineers, marketing executives and more.
