Michael McDonald’s unmistakable baritone and soulful delivery have left an enduring mark on popular music. As a key member of The Doobie Brothers, he helped define their sound in the 1970s with hits like What a Fool Believes and Takin’ It to the Streets. Blending rock, jazz, and R&B, he redefined soft rock, influencing generations of musicians with his seamless harmonies and emotive songwriting. Inspired by McDonald’s timeless sound, singer Kyle Maack and drummer Alvin Burnett set out to create Minute By Minute, a tribute show celebrating his rich musical legacy. Alongside guitarist and musical director Mike Ian, bassist John Colvin, and keyboardist Ihsan Covert El, they meticulously arranged the show to honor McDonald’s work while bringing their own unique interpretations to the stage. Their carefully curated setlist blends McDonald’s classics with fresh arrangements, ensuring each performance captures the spirit of his music while offering something new for audiences to enjoy.

The result is an electrifying, high-energy concert experience, where soaring vocals, tight harmonies, and dynamic instrumentation come together to recreate the magic of McDonald’s catalog with passion and authenticity.
