Who says festival season has to end? Big Gigantic at Red Rocks is here to help. Thanks to their annual “Rowdytown” show, we can get our festival fix in September 2015! The two-day, star-studded event in the incredible Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado couldn’t come sooner.
For the fourth year in a row, Big Gigantic is ready to throw down. This year’s show, titled “Rowdytown IV,” is set to take off Friday, September 25th (continuing on the 26th), hosted and headlined by the Boulder-based duo: saxophonist Dominic Lalli and drummer Jeremy Salken. As far as venues go, this one is unbelievable. Featuring unique projection capabilities on the rocky walls of the stadium, Big Gigantic at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre is guaranteed to please.
Each night will begin with a little something called the ‘Big Gigantic Mixtape 2009/2010,’ featuring a live band to help perform some of their older tunes. Big things are coming visually, too (pun intended). If you thought last year was cool, think again.
Some food for thought:
Killer jams AND a sweet venue? I better book that flight to Colorado.
Not to mention the other sick performers joining Big Gigantic at Red Rocks this September. Friday’s lineup will feature tropical house trailblazer Thomas Jack, Canadian retro artist DeFunk, and Los Angeles-based producer Jauz. Saturday gets serious with LA-based producer RL Grime, the electronic duo Two Fresh, and the Canadian producer Snails. Sounds like two days of pure bliss if you ask me.
The stacked lineup will be sure to impress at Red Rocks this year. Plus, we’ll be jamming in a rocky oasis à la the Grand Canyon, and who wouldn’t be into that?
Thanks to ThisSongIsSick.com, Rowdytown IV’s official partner, fans can receive an epic VIP experience. This includes a poster, early entry, meet and greet, and a sweet merchandise bundle.
