Las Vegas Pool Parties have become bigger and more extravagant year after year. The mega-resorts that line the Vegas Strip are pouring millions of dollars into pool upgrades, live theatrics, state-of-the-art sounds systems and new light shows. And no expense is being spared to acquire internationally renowned DJs.
What does this mean for EDM fans? Vegas is slowly overtaking Ibiza as the #1 electronics music destination on earth and is quite simply home to the best pool parties on earth.
It’s April and the 2014 pool party season is in full-swing, with so many options to choose from, we compiled this list of the top 5 pool parties in Vegas.
#1 – Daylight Beach Club Pool Party
Daylight returns to Mandalay Bay for its second season and if you thought the hottest day party couldn’t get any better, think again. The Strip’s best day party is adding not one, but two new VIP pools to accompany the existing 4,500 square-foot pool, which leaves plenty of room for the 5,000 guests that come to party on any given day.
And what would a Vegas pool party be without bottle service? Daylight offers three levels of service depending how much champagne you plan on spraying on your friends: Wet, Soaked and Drenched.
#2 – Marquee Day Club
Opening in 2010, The Cosmopolitan is one of the newest mega-resorts on the Las Vegas Strip and its accompanying Marquee Night Club and Marquee Day Club have been hit sensations since day 1.
Marquee features three levels of pool cabanas, infinity pools, and glass-walled jacuzzis so that all party-goers have a view of the fun. Dotting the the side of the pool patio are three-story bungalows which feature flat-screen TVs, cocktail bars, sleeping quarters and an impressive view of the Vegas Strip.
There’s no need to ever leave the pool if you want to hit the tables, the 22,000 square-foot pool complex features two gaming areas.
#3 – Encore Beach Club
The Encore Beach Club at the Wynn was designed to compliment the nightly parties at XS, and is in every way just as fun. The 60,000+ square-foot pool area is complete with “dancing” poles and a special outdoor sound system designed by John Lyons of Avalon Hollywood.
For those looking to escape the heat, there are 8 air-conditioned bungalows which afford a view of The Strip and a private bathroom.
Encore’s 2014 calendar includes DJs such as Avicci, David Geutta, Fedde Le Grand, Major Lazer and Zedd.
#4 – TAO Beach
With just 7 private cabanas, The Venetian’s TAO Beach is one of the smaller and more exclusive Vegas pool parties. Decorated with Buddhas, lounging that inspire an Asian atmosphere, this is still one of the nicest pools on the Strip as it heads into its 5th season. Expect to pay $50+ for a ticket or purchase a bottle service. Masseuse tables
TAO is also one of the few Las Vegas pools to allow European bathing (topless), which explains why the pool is surrounded by a hedge of bamboo trees to keep outsiders from peeking in.
#5 – Rehab
Rehab at the Hard Rock Hotel is the Las Vegas pool party that started the all, and is still one of the best in town. With events like the “Bikini Invitational”, Rehab has become synonymous with Debauchery and sex appeal.
Unlike most pool parties in Vegas, Rehab tends to book hip hop and pop acts as oppose to EDM artists. This year, you can catch Robin Thicke, Kendrick Lamar, Flo Rida and Aloe Blacc.
