WARNING: if you’re feeling famished and are about to read this post, you might want to reconsider. We’re getting ready to go on a journey together, encompassing the real reason people visit Vegas for a famed vacation destination. Entertainment is certainly a pull factor, but at the end of the day, what matters most to people like me, who understand that brunching is both a sport and a lifestyle? Of course: the Vegas buffets. The Las Vegas Strip is famous for its unique and eclectic collection of luxury hotels and entertainment venues alike, with (more importantly) an endless selection of themes for your five-star dining experience. Vegas never allows for its guests to be boring, it wouldn’t expect you to stay and eat strictly in your own hotel. Well, now you’re stressing about the limitless Vegas buffets you have to choose from, what if you make the wrong call? Being equally as passionate in my indecisiveness as I am in my ability to brunch harder than anyone else, I’ve come up with a list to make sure you never have to worry about making a foolish mistake when it comes to choosing which of the many Vegas buffets to grace with your appetite.
1. Bacchanal Buffet at Caesar’s Palace
Bacchanal is all about keeping it FRESH. Most food is prepared and made to order right in front of you. Cuisine here is an art form, and they have global favorites from French crêpes to the best tacos you’ll find without being south of the border, and even some red velvet pancakes that are too dangerously good to pass up. It’s a little pricey, but this is a Vegas splurge you won’t regret. Come for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or anytime in between, and if the line is less than appetizing you can skip it for an extra $20.
2. Hash House A Go Go
You’re in Sin City, so let out your inner glutton here at Hash House A Go Go. First of all, this place is open 24 hours, and it must be where breakfast lovers from all over the world go to live out their retirement years. The portions here are huge, and the quality and creativity in the dishes is just as great. Can’t decide if you should go for a sweet or savory treat? Don’t fret; they’ll cook those crispy fresh bacon flakes right into your decadent and fluffy waffle. Come at any hour, but you might want to bring your eating pants with you.
3. Wicked Spoon at Cosmopolitan Hotel
Arguably the highest rated of the Vegas buffets, Wicked Spoon is a brunch mecca. Treat yourself to a rave-worthy bottomless Mimosa, and you won’t even have to pretend that it’s the weekend to indulge in these banana pancakes. Wicked Spoon offers a mean omelet bar, and they don’t take their desserts any less seriously. If you can say you resisted the chocolate covered strawberries here, you’re lying to yourself.
4. Mr. Mama’s
Hands down, this home-style diner has the best service in Vegas. It’s not in a hotel or on The Strip, but head around the corner for the Mr. Mama’s experience and you will thank yourself. A huge selection of breakfast items and the best burgers in town will leave you asking when you can return to this all American Vegas breakfast and lunch classic.
5. Verandah at Mandalay Bay
Why would you take a trip to Italy when you can eat at the Verandah? The Mandalay Bay is a prized location on the strip featuring some of the most insane day and nightclub, like the Cirque du Soleil LIGHT Nightclub and Daylight Beach Club. However, this is one hotel hotspot you won’t have to leave to get the best value when it comes to the nightlife entertainment, poolside fun, and culinary adventures that accompany a Vegas vacation. Although it’s home to a variety of Vegas buffets, the Verandah is the favorite. Have a freshly baked donut with your breakfast or the sophisticated whipped truffle potatoes with your dinner, whatever time of day, you can’t go wrong here.
