Wow, it’s already March 2015! We’ve had a ton of great events so far, and festival season is coming up. With artists getting ready to take the stage and give us a good time, we can’t neglect the grinds that they’ve been on, making tracks and dropping albums/about to drop albums. From Skrillex and Diplo’s “Jack U” album to Alesso’s anticipated album, here’s a list of the EDM albums of 2015 that are actually making you want to go out and buy them rather than listening to them on SoundCloud all day (can you still buy CDs at like The Record Alley? Do those still exist?).
Hardwell’s United We Are
Released in January of 2015, Hardwell has graced us with this delicious album full of progressive house and a good time. Featuring a bunch of artists including Luciana and Jason Derulo, Hardwell collaborates with DJs including Tiesto, W&W, and more.
Skrillex and Diplo’s Jack U
Released a little early, this album is a goldmine. When you think it can’t get any better, when you think you can’t hear anymore “Take U There” remixes, BOOM. THE MISSY REMIX IS OUT.
Above & Beyond’s We Are All We Need
Released in January, Above & Beyond is going… above and beyond with the feel good tunes. Feelin’ good, feelin’ great.
mau5trap’s We Are Friends Volume 3
Deadmau5’s mau5trap released a compilation album a few weeks ago, and it’s stacked with a bunch of progressive house tracks for a mau5y good time.
Giorgio Moroder’s 74 is the New 24
As if I need a reminder that I’m doing nothing at age 23, Giorgio Moroder needs to let me know that he’s more fabulous than I’ll ever be, producing his 20th album after 30 years. His new album is set to come out sometime in the spring, collaborating with artists including Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, and Sia. The collaborating artist list alone makes me want to buy the album; I can be your new 24, Mr. Moroder.
Adventure will be Madeon’s first album, set to be released on March 30th, and it includes this track! I’m not even Mad(eon) about this. After listening to “You’re On,” I’m (Made)on board for a new Adventure!
Other albums that have little information other than the fact that they are in the works for a 2015 debut are by artists including…
(Yeah it’s a remix so what shhh)
Knife Party (maaaaybe…)
His album will be out “June or July-ish” and he’s set to be working with artists such as DJ Snake, Skrillex, Diplo, and more. With all of these hip hop/EDM collabs, he can make the club go up on any day of the week for me, great.
Now the only thing to do is enjoy the albums that have already dropped and wait for the rest…
